The founder and director of Orthopaedic Arthroscopic Surgery International (Milan, Italy), Alberto Gobbi graduated from the University of Milan in 1983 and then continued his training to become a sports doctor and an orthopaedic surgeon specialized in arthroscopic procedures. Early in his career he trained in arthroscopy in Los Angeles, California in the US. Dr. Gobbi is considered one of the most important English-speaking physicians in Milan – Lombardy. Dr. Gobbi is a Honorary Member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA), a current member of the European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA) and Secretary General of the International Cartilage Repair Society and the chair of the Education Committee of the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sport Medicine (ISAKOS).
